Meet our Presenters

Born 1970, heavily influenced with music played by my parents (as you are) my sister and her at the time DJ partner now husband. First started playing vinyl at youth and rugby club discos at about the age of 12-13. First nightclub gig at the age of 16 and resident at 17. Worked in many of the big clubs in Kent and the south between 1987-2003 working 5-6 nights a week for much of that time. Towards the end of the period specialised in Trance & EDM. After a chance meeting just before the first Covid lockdown with members of DCR I produced the first episode on the Weekly Trance Update. This now broadcasts each week with 10-midnight on a Saturday mainly playing a mixture of classic and current Uplifting Trance. The genre being stronger than ever currently. Tune in every Saturday between 10 and midnight for JR's Weekly Trance Update and you can listen again via mixcloud. Another passion of mine has always been Soul music, my close friends were always a little older than me so from the age of 15 I would be looked after and attend soul festivals all over the UK. Combine this passion and the want to do further live radio the Saturday Soul Breakfast Show was born on DCRFM. A show packed with features like 2 from the Pier (Northern Soul Classics), Soul Legends, 12 Incher of the week, Georgias Fun Facts, Old Gold Soul (60's Soul Classics) and a 2 from a different artist each week to end the show. Tune In on a Saturday Morning 7 until 9am on DCR 104.9fm, dcrfm.co.uk or via your smart device asking for Dover Community Radio Via Tune In. Email jr@dcrfm.co.uk for requests for either show, I would love to hear from you.
