Every day, 1 in 9 people in Kent is performing a valuable but often invisible role in looking after a friend or relative, who, due to physical or mental illness, age related difficulties, disability or an addiction, cannot manage without our support.
Local charity, Carers’ Support East Kent are putting on a Firewalk event to bring our community together and to raise vital funds for unpaid Carers in East Kent. The charity is calling on local individuals and business to take part – to experience the thrill of walking across hot coals! The event takes place on 24th October 2024, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM in the fantastic grounds of Discovery Park, in Sandwich.
Individual entry is £20 with a suggested minimum sponsorship of £80 and for teams entry is £80 for a group of 5 with a suggested minimum sponsorship of £350 per team. All money raised will go towards supporting East Kent’s vibrant and often invisible community of unpaid Carers.
