Unlocking Dover Gaol: A spooky Family Experience

Step inside the cells of Dover’s Victorian prison on a spooky,

behind‑the‑scenes interactive tour. Learn about the infamous

treadwheel, discover what life was like for child prisoners and the

punishments they faced, and have your own mug‑shot taken beside the

original height‑measuring stick. Get hands‑on with real prison

artefacts and dress up to take part in a mini courtroom trial, held

in the Council Chamber.

Designed for children aged 4 to 12 and their parents or carers.

surfaces, and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
