The Cavell Van at Dover Cruise Terminal

Barry O'Brien explores the Cavell Van, a 19th-century railway carriage with a powerful connection to Britain's wartime history. Built by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway, it carried the bodies of Edith Cavell, Charles Fryatt, and the Unknown Warrior after the First World War. The van was on display at Dover's Cruise Terminal 1 in November 2025.
