Dave Marley

Dave has been a DJ since the early 80s, but it was not until the 90’s that he became interested inradio presenting. With love and respect all types of good music, his taste and knowledge stretch asfar back as the 1950s through to the current charts.

Growing up in West London listening to the radio as a young lad and starting his collection of vinylat the mere age of 5 years old, by saving his pocket money to buy records as often as possible, nowsome 50-odd years on, his vinyl collection and knowledge has grown immensely. He grew uplistening to the fathers of British Broadcasting, to presenters such as the late great Alan “Fluff”Freeman with his “Pick of the Pop”, Tony Blackburn, John Peel and soul DJ and good friend GregEdwards with his Soul Spectrum.

After some 30 years presenting on various radio stations, from pirate radio, to hospital radio, localcommunity radio and many different live events over the years, since 2023 he has been presentinghis own breakfast show called "Marley in the Morning" It's 3 hours of "feel good" music everyweekday morning from 7am to 10am here on this station. The show includes music from the goldenera of the 60s through to the 00s. Its packed with music facts and info, and some great featuresthroughout, such as "80s at 8" 30mins of 80s classics from 8 till 8.30. "The Workout Track",something lively to workout each morning. "The 5 at 9", 5 tracks in a row just after 9am, leavingyou to try and guess the years to win your own "virtual gold star award" "The Midway ExtendedPlay", a daily classic 12'inch extended mix "Born today in music history", "Featured ClassicAlbum", we pick a classic album each week, and play a track a day at 9.30, and if all that wasn'tenough to quench your thirst for good music and great radio, there's "The Theme tune Finish" at theend of every show, jogging memories of sometimes long forgotten TV shows you absolutely wouldnot miss back in the day.
